Nonprofits Rock the TEDAI Stage
AI’s potential for social impact was on full display at TEDAI. Fast Forward’s Kevin Barenblat hosted an inspiring panel with three AI-powered nonprofit leaders: Rikin Gandhi (Digital Green) is empowering farmers, Gemma Turon (Ersilia) is tackling infectious diseases in LMICs, and Vishal Sunil (Rocket Learning) is reimagining early education. Each founder showed how AI is making a difference in their fields by meeting communities exactly where they are. Watch the panel trailer to get a peek into their work.
They weren’t the only nonprofits representing. Leaders from Project CETI, Fairly Trained, and more also shared exciting updates. As AI continues to evolve, it’s crucial that nonprofits and the communities they serve stay front and center. Big thanks to TEDAI for giving them a platform.
Are AI and Democracy Running on the Same Ticket?
Time will tell. Until then, Aria Finger joined AI for Humanity to discuss the intersection of nonprofits, democracy, and AI. Aria led DoSomething for over a decade, mobilizing millions of young people to take action and registering over 350K young voters. Now, she serves as Chief of Staff for Reid Hoffman and co-hosts Possible, a podcast that explores the bright side of AI. She knows her stuff. Read the latest edition of AI for Humanity to explore her thoughts on elections, civic processes, and tech’s potential role in both.
HPE Accelerates Impact with $1.2M
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Foundation knows how to back a mission. Since 2019, HPE has run HPE Accelerating Impact, an annual campaign where each of their employees gets $25 to donate to tech nonprofits handpicked in partnership with Fast Forward. This year? They crushed it. HPE employees from the U.S. to Peru to Sweden donated nearly $1.2M to power mission-driven organizations. That’s a lot of lives impacted. Want to know where those dollars are going? Check out our blog to meet some of the incredible orgs.
